Las Cuevas de Camuy National Park

This national Park features on of the largest cave systems in the world. visitors will walk into parts of the caves and explore a small part of the system. The surrounding areas feature some nature settings that make for very good views.

La Parguera, Bioluminescence Bay

Another very unique place to visit on the island. this bay has micro organisms on the water that when disturbed they “light up” and produce a beautiful display on the water.  this phenomenon happens on various places around the world, but in Puerto Rico is the only place that is guaranteed for it to happen every night.

Arecibo radar observatory

In the north par of Puerto Rico you can visit the famous radio telescope, the largest of this kind of the world. Its large receptor plate it’s larger than 12 football fields, used to spot signals from planets and in the SETI research for extraterestrial life.  Inside the Observatory there are science related exibitions of different subjects to watch.

Mayaguez Zoo

Mayaguez is home to the only public zoo in the island. The zoo 2 main animal selections are  the African Forest and the African Savannah. Also it features a Beautiful bird sanctuary.

Ponce Art Museum

The Ponce Art Museum has the largest art collection of the Caribbean between pictures and sculptures.  Its collection have many European works such as works by Velasquez, Rubens and Rodin, and others.

Elegant scenery as far as the eye can see will make your heart feel at peace. On this beach you will see other sights on the sea side, namely the Gumuk-Gumuk sand (sand dune) which bergitu elegant. According to geologists, this is Gumuk Gumuk complete sand in Indonesia, maybe even the world.

Attractions Brave
Here encountered Gumuk types of sand with various models ranging from parabolic, circle or horseshoe. Gumuk sand itself is the work of the wind along the coast Parangtritis, thus producing formations are quite beautiful.

Not only that, in the rear area (if we look towards the sea), will be found the limestone mountains with lots of cave dwelling birds so wallet. Well, here’s where many found the “brave” to take swallow the saliva that are scattered throughout the walls of the limestone caves. Maybe if you watch this scene, will thrill your heart.

The extent of sand along the beach, makes this beach interesting to trace. Be tiring indeed, but refreshing and healthful for the sea air and fresh wind. However, if you feel really tired and still want to see the scenery around, you can rent a wagon or a horse that provides services to around Parangtritis beach.

In the school holidays, we encounter many wagon that provide services around the coast. Under the beach the wind is strong enough, we will actually lulled in dreams and feel comfortable around the beach with a wagon.

Parangtritis has long been famous, not only as a beach that brings sand dunes, beaches and cliffs, but also as a historical site associated with the mysterious legends of the Queen of the South Sea, “Kanjeng Ratu Kidul.” Legend has it Kanjeng Ratu Kidul was married to one of the descendants of the kingdom of Mataram, Panembahan Senopati, which he visited and the associated at certain moments.

Say, the name Parangtritis express a natural phenomenon. From the wall on one cliff meneteslah water containing calcium continuously and eventually form a pool with very clear water in it. Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono VII to find and treat. The pool is now used as a swimming pool.
